In collaboration with author Stephanie Shaner, I illustrated the children’s book Gulp: The Tale of One Hungry Heron. This story, aimed at the youngest readers (ages 0–6), follows a heron patiently waiting for prey by a lively pond teeming with life.

The illustrations are done in a black-and-white style, inspired by the works of Edward Gorey, featuring delicate line work, attention to detail, and an atmosphere that blends whimsy with elegance. For this book, I also designed a custom font, adding a unique touch to the project.

More than a dozen pond inhabitants come to life on the book’s pages, each character brought to life with individuality and charm.

The book was released in July 2024 and is available on Amazon.
